Sue Monk Kidd’s book Writing, Creativity, and Soul is our next pick for The Highly Sensitive Creative Book Club!
This book is as much about listening to our deeper self as it is about writing!
If you’re interested in learning more about the creative process, love to read OR are a writer OR an aspiring, “soon-to-be” writer, you will love this book.
This memoir almost reads like a story, the story of how Sue Monk Kidd started writing, her creative inspirations from Virginia Woolf to the Bronte sisters and about BECOMING a creative person in the pre-feminist era.

READING SCHEDULE
We will meet on Zoom on the following Saturdays from 12 pm to 1:30 pm PACIFIC TIME.
NOTE: This book is not divided into chapters, so I’ve used the names of the essays to indicate which ones we will start and end with. So, as an example, for Feb 21, we will start reading at the Foreword and read all the essays until (and including) “The Empty Space” essay. And so on.
February 21: From “Foreword” to the “The Empty Space”
March 21: From “Creative Loitering” to “Making a Scene”
April 18: From “Hurry Slowly” to “The Common Heart”
RECORDINGS: All Zoom conversations will be recorded and shared afterwards, so in case you can’t make it live on any one day, you won’t miss out.
New to The Highly Sensitive Creative Book Club?
If you are new to The Highly Sensitive Creative Book Club, it consists of Zoom book circles I facilitate periodically.
Each new book has a NEW circle of people.
So, if you haven’t joined us for a book circle in the past, please know that you will find like-minded people in these circles, people who enjoy having conversations around ideas.
Please also know that my workshops are always introvert-friendly and sensitive-friendly spaces. There’s never any pressure to share, and you can always just come and listen.
